A three Scramble day in Coniston

October 1, 2013

The Bell 335m   Brim Fell 796m   Coniston Old Man 803m

It was a much duller day today but the forecast said no rain so we hopefully headed out to Coniston and after a coffee in the village we set off up the Walna Scar Road to park. We have done all the Scrambles that we did today many times before with Joe and Kai, and Nick but as it has been all this week we had forgotten how good they are. I guess that my legs are getting a bit tired we have had a good week of Mountain days after not doing much all summer but we plan a rest tomorrow.

We Scrambled up The Bell grade 1* then on to Low water Beck grade 3** and Brim Fell grade2**

we went up to the summit of Brim Fell and then on to Coniston Old Man. It was a little blowy on top and then we headed down by the old mine workings.

a great day.
