Mull with Joe: day one…getting there.

It is a thing of this whole process that I am going through that I can be excited and sad at the same time. Joe and I set off this morning with the van all packed up and the bikes on the back. Less said about the great hose pipe disaster of yesterday the better. After s great shop in Fort William for outdoor clothes for Joe. – brilliant bargains! We stopped at tescos in Oban got out food for the next couple of days….Joe’s in charge of the menu..excellent for me although it does mean I am in charge of washing up! We arrived just in time for the earlier ferry but didn’t get on it but we weren’t bothered. Had a cup of coffee and got the one we were booked on. It was a first for me I have never driven onto a ferry before. But it was easy. From the ferry we drove down a short distance before turning of a very small road to Loch Spelve. Eventually we found a great spot right by the loch with space for the tent and a view of Iris’s and little wading birds. Joe made a fantastic tea of burrito’s. And I had a good night sleep. I haven’t made any posts on this blog since I lost Roger but after lots of thought I decided to keep it up and start it again on this trip. It is about our life and he is still with me inside. …..
