After 9 weeks of lock-down we are finally able to walk or ride with a friend, I took advantage of this and went on a walk up Creagan a Chasie with Anne Marie. It was the highest of the Cromdale hills and a Graham. A few years ago Roger and I walked up to the ridge but it was at a time when he wasn’t so well and we decided to cut it short.

We set off from Cromdale and had a bit of road walking to do before we turned up a track to the hillside. Unfortunately a lot of farmers have been using lock-down to restrict access and we were confronted but signs saying no access. after some debate we decided to go round another way which involved a bit more on the road. This was the longest walk I have done for a while as as i was nursing a slightly upset Achilles I was very pleased with my performance. So good to be back in the hills again. My mountaineering days are not yet done!!
