Up the Livet and up the Fiddich

A good little adventure, we set off at lunch time, which was maybe a little late! At first we headed up the usual track to Suie after that we were on new ground. We headed up the track that goes between Carn na Bruar and Cooks Carn. Cooks Carn is on my hit list! It was easier cycling than I thought it might be, we only had to get of and push for one short bit. Once at the top the ginormous wind farm came into view. We stopped beside one, it had started raining and we had only gone a quarter of the way. It was 4.30. Would we continue or would we go back? Kenny was very much wanting to continue ( I discovered afterwards that it was mainly because he didn’t want to have to ride up the hill again another day to complete the ride!! We followed the wind-farm tracks by passing Blackwater Lodge at a higher contour thus saving effort! and so quickly got the the river Fiddoch. We followed a lovely track up the river which was beautifully angled after the rain then came sun and later mist, before long we were at the watershed and back and Suie for a whizz back down to the car. A interesting little diversion up to Elf cave.
A great day out, back to Bubble Station Zebra for a pizza and bits and pieces tea
