Dot and I  met at Chris’ house and had our lunch outside – socially distanced that is!! The forecast was for a shower or two so we decided to walk up Croidh-la instead of the hill Chris had originally selected. I think Dot thought it would be shorter but as it happens I am not sure it was much shorter. It was a good choice though as firstly I had not walked up it before, secondly there was a fine ridge to walk along to the summit and thirdly the views were fantastic from the top. I could see the loop that goes up Carn an Fhreiceadain, which is a bike ride on my list!

As we walked up Chris spotted a mushroom that is edible, a Birch Bolete I took it home and had it in an omelette for my tea.

A great day.
