It was our first over-nighter since the restrictions have been lifted and we were excited! We chose this trip as we thought it may be quieter than other areas. The small car park was pretty full when i arrived but as i parked badly and took two places i could move the van for dot so she parked next to me and then Julia blocked us in. Julia was just riding with us for the day and then returning home. It was so hot! there was a new swimming spot that I have heard about and i was hoping for a dip but there were people there so we rode on a bit longer and found another little place for lunch and a dip. Julia left us at this point and Dot and I carried on up Glen Loin. WE decided to keep going until the wind started to drop but we got up to the place the track turns up hill, here we found a lovely little spot. the wind mostly kept the midges away. it dropped a little and they found us but we had a little walk up the hill to see the sunset. We got back to our tents and just as we were settled down there was huge winds and rain. We just made it! A great day.
