We weren’t sure what the parking was like in Borrowdale as it could be difficult. The national trust car park wanted £7.50 for the day….no wonder there were spaces, eventually we parked at the school for £2  much better. We set off there were a few people walking up the valley mostly heading to the swimming spot. The campsite was busy but it wasn’t so bad for Borrowdale in the school holidays. WE soon got the the bottom for the crag. The climb was lovely – I always forget how much fun scrambling is….but my legs felt it. We then made out way to Dovenest top and Glaramara before heading back to the car just before the rain came. Back home for a lovely tea and another good film. I have had such a good few days with my lads in Cumbria…..
