After much debate Joe and I decided that the 7 mile drive to the beginning of the walk would be within the covid lockdown restrictions. When we got there there were a few cars with dog walkers who obviously thought the same. We had a lovely frosty icy walk with fantastic views over the Helvelyn range and the northern Penines including Cross Fell.
