It was pouring down in Aviemore but the forecast said that it would be dry at Laggan so I thought….lets give it a go! I wanted to call at the café gallery to show them my jewellery anyway so it would not be a wasted journey. As it was the partner who deals with the money side of things wasnt in so i needed to go back the next day – which i did and go an order – yay!
It was dry by then! The bike was on a good forest land rover track but there was a fair bit of down which hurt on the return journey. The views were stunning. I saw many hills that i have been up with Joe and Roger. So lots of memories. After ditching the bike i set of over rough boggy heathery ground until the start of the ridge it was steep but only for a couple of hundred meters. The a mostly pathless broad ridge was followed to the top. fantastic views. So glad I made the effort. I was a little weary on the ride back to the van but great to be able to have a brew before heading home.

Looking across to the hills on the other side of the Laggan road

Binnein Shuas the hill I forgot our sticks!!
The road I rode in on with Creag Pitridh the only Munro besides Cairngorm that i have been up twice, first time we aborted after roger twisted his angle
Looking up the ridge
Two more Munros that I have climbed with roger a long time ago
Looking down the ridge
and I think maybe we can just see the summit….there were a few false ones

I think that is Ben Alder on the right, Roger and I pack packed over that when i was much younger

Binnein Shuas and Binnein Shios
