Coiremor Bothy Adventure
A Right Proper Adventure
Day one

This was our second bothy adventure of the year and 4th BBC adventure. The forecast was to be sunny so we wanted something a little more than last month. We decided to ride into Coiremore bothy. Starting from Oykel Bridge up strath Mulzie to the bothy which nestled underneath the amazing Munro Seana Bhraigh, which incidentally I must return to and climb by the scramble ridge.
I was determined not to be cold and had 4.5kg of coal and a fire stick. There was a stove at the bothy so all good.
We had a fair few river crossings some which were icy even more icy on the way back our timing was excellent we arrived just after the sun set so still light enough to see.
I took my lightline sleeping and was plenty warm enough. My sleeping mat combo were warm but a bit bulky to transport. We had a nice tea and sticky ginger cake with custard for pudding.
A most excellent adventure

The final day of a flying visit from Joe, day one we went to the climbing wall and the pictures to see the new Bob Dylan film. Day two we went up Creag Gabhar and today we went up the lovely Meall a Bhuachaille.
We went up from the visitor centre, it was a beautiful sunny day, we decided to try and come down the little spur that Anne Marie and I came down in the snow a couple of years ago but this time find a better way. We didn’t it was worse if anything but right at the end we found a path, we had been to far to the left. Next time I shall go up that way and follow it to the top. After getting back to the van we went into the new community owned cafe for tea and cake. Which was lovely.

Still recovering from the lime disease but I really wanted to get out and do something. This seemed a good idea. I was going to go up two weeks hills but sensibly I decided to save the second for another day. The weather was great, tracks varied and I enjoyed being out there. I was tired by the time I got back to the van. I enjoyed a cuppa before heading home.
