Sailing Peggy
A three day trip from Mallaig.
Day One
https://www.strava.com/activities/11880145525 18nm T: 5hrs 15mins – Mallaig to Eigg
This trip turned out to be a game changer in the way we decided to sail Peggy, the weather was more bouncy than forcast and i did start to feel sick on the way to eigg. I cant remember where we were heading but we decided to take shelter in Eigg. The next day we would change tack and head for Loch Moidart. The next few day were lovely wee sails wee walks and a swim….we or kenny realised that short interesting hops with time ashore were the way to go with peggy.

Day Two
https://www.strava.com/activities/11885818623 D: 13.3nm T: 4hrs 41mins Eigg to Loch Moidart
We had a lovely sail over to Loch Moidart and an interesting negotiation to get up the channel to the castle. We hopped we had got in far enough for Peggy to dry out on her legs but we hadn’t. One lesson learned was that we were on neeps and springs would have worked much better. after a nice lunch we blew up the dingy and went ashore for a wee walk. Kenny was a little moany at first but i think he enjoyed it. He was anxious at the end to get back to Peggy.

Chris dropped us at the car park for the Quiraing which was less busy than last time. We set off walking in the other direction and there was only one other party of 6 walking that way. Glorious scenery, and a long ish decent down to the fairy glen and home. Sam and I had our second swim of the week. A good day.

Loch Sheanta – quick dip
Today was going to be an easy day but it turned out to be quite a mega day. We drove up to the Quiraing car park – it was Sunday but even so we were not expecting it to be so busy! Unable to park we headed down the other coast to find somewhere else to walk. We thought that it might be quieter later. Which it was. We had a nice walk by the coast and then went for a dip in loch Sheanta, which was very cold!
We then headed back to the car park to find a parking place and headed on the walk which was spectacular and included a new sub 2000 top for me.

Climbing with Kenny
Borrodale Crags: Wire Crag.
Tripwire S 4a lead
Top Rung VD 3c lead
It was a drizzly start but after a coffee at the marina cafe in Arisaig we decided to set off and see what it would be like. It was a new crag for me and it took a while to work out where was what but in the end we did. The rock was lovely and I lead a couple of nice routes. Kenny enjoyed himself and we also had a potter about and a picnic. A place to return to.
