I felt very weary after this walk and was being hard on myself about it until i realised that it was the most elevation I had done in a walk this year and then I felt much better.

It was a grand day out but the light ended up being less interesting than i had hoped in fact it became very claggy. After we got down from the hill we called in at Keswick to get Joes new boots. He has to save them for xmas ha ha

It is funny how sometimes you don’t fancy a hill but a friend is keen so you go with it. This was the case with Tom Meadhoin in this case it turned out to be a splendid hill with staggering views over to the Mamores and over loch Linnie to Ardgour.

Another wonderful day of interesting light and sunshine…little wind too. I ended the day with a meal in the Clachaig Inn with Kenny.

Today was the day of Jimmy’s funeral but as I was excluded due to the toxic dynamics of the strange people of Taynailt I headed for the hills in the van and met up with Anne for a couple of fantastic days in the hills. Today our goal was the pap of Glencoe a hill i have fancied for a while. We took a scrambley path up the front of the hill – a smaller one than the main path, which we came down. I left my camera on the top and had to go back for it. I couldn’t find it but a lovely French couple did find it and rang me to tell me. we met up for a swap in the village. A bar meal with Ian and Anne made a fine end to the day.

A return to Meall nan Eagan this time with the company of Dot, Anne and Janet proving that I am not a bagger and will always be happy go return to hills sometimes many times. This time we set of on bikes for the first part….it probably was worth it but only just! I usually say it has to be 5km to be worth it but the descent back down was good. A lovely sunny Autumn day – pretty windy on the top!

This was my second trip out with the mountain club, and i am starting to get to know more of the members. I think I will enjoy walking in the hills with this group of people, they are friendly.

We parked at Melgarve and walked up the track a bit before branching off up hill. The going was ok, a bit damp but grassy. Lovely light and only a little rain. Not as much wind as i expected. It was good to get photos of me from the website as everyone uploads the photos they took. Coffee and cake at Laggan on the way home. A good day.

The Mountain Club were going to go up Cooks Cairn which has been on my list for a while but as things turned out there was pressure on the car park due to an event by the estate so plan B was Brown Cow hill. Dot and I didn’t fancy that so we opted for Carn Oighreag a near by top which we could then meet up with those going up Brown Cow. What could possiblt go wrong!!! Actually we did manage to meet up and walked the last bit with them and we only hung around about 3/4 hour and it didn’t rain much.ha ha We did have a cuppa and cake in Tomintoul on the way home.

A return to Glen Roy for me with Anne. Last time Joe and I went back down after Leana Mhor as I had a sore arch and Joe had a sore foot – he trod on a scrapper while decorating at Kais!!

Lovely views from the top of Leana Mhor and this time we dropped down top the Col to find a sheep stuck in the bog. After much effort we managed to get it out!! We then carried on over to Beinn Laruinn.

An excellent day and a rather longer one than we anticipated.

I am catching up with my blog and sadly I have left it soo very long that my word will not reflect the whole day. I remember today as being a lovely one, I felt good getting out on my own I hardly met a soul all day expect when on the summit and there there were a pair of people who were talking very loudly. I am becoming a grouch as I just wanted a bit of quiet and the place to myself
