Meall a’Bhuachaille in the Sunshine and Snow
Meall a’Bhuachaille 810m
Joe and I started our walk from the reindeer centre and walked up the path on the left hand side of the valley. Lovely path I had not been up before which came out near the Green Lochan. It was so calm the reflections were wonderful. Fantastic views, lunch on the top and walk down the path to the Coll and down to the visitor centre, another I have not been on before. An amazing day…..and back to bottle the black currant wine.

Blue orange and green at rEd Rocks
I had to go to Cromarty to collect my work from a very poorly attended exhibition as Joe and I decided we would have a blast round the trails at Learnie. Brilliant it was too. Joe’s first go since I got the bars changed on his bike…..

A wee poodle and a bit navigationally challenged
Ord Ban 428m
Another great little walk with Joe up to Ord Ban from the Loch an Eilein car park. Did you know they charge all year round now! Lovely graded path on the way up but we had to do a bit of deer fence climbing on the way down……lovely day….

First day of Joe’s winter holiday, a fine wee hill
Creag Bheag 487m
As we started walking I began to remember walking this walk with roger. I went back and checked the blog after the walk and discovered it was the first hill he climbed after his first illness and hospital stay. Joe and I had fine views from the top and then called in to Chapel gallery and dropped some work off. …Then back home to bottle the Bramble Wine

The day we remembered how much we loved the fells
Longlands Fell 483m. Lowthwaithe Fell 509m. Little Sca Fell 633m. Brae Fell 586m
I had been staying down at joes for a few days after hanging my exhibition at the Gregson in Lancaster. Thursday was joes day off and the forecast wasn’t too bad. A bit too windy and claggy to go too high so this little round was just the job. We were both a bit hill unfit so didn’t want to over do it. The rain stayed off till we were nearly back at the car. Then it poured down…..so good to be back and my legs held up!

Alps Road Trip Leg 13/14: Belgium, Netherlands and Home
Alps Road Trip Leg 12: France and Netherlands
another long day but we passed many war time monuments and eventually made it to the Netherlands and an other lovely hotel with a nice restaurant.

Alps Road Trip Leg 11: Into Italy, Switzerland and back into France
Today was a very long day on the bike. It started with an amazing ride over the alps but the ride through Switzerland was very busy and hot. We all including the bike got very stressed. But we arrived at our motel in Neufchareau just in time to have an amazing meal at the restaurant. After a good nights sleep we hit the road again.
