Rough Stuff Fife: Day Two
Loch Ore to Newburgh
D: 50.61km. El:850
Today was always going to be the big day, the excellent start the route had made continued with great tracks and quiet roads which took us to the heritage town of Falkland. We had a good stop here. Strawberries coffee and ice cream. Janet decided to continue on the road and we would meet up in Newburgh or somewhere where there would be a good camp spot. The rest of the route was lovely quiet roads cycleways and forest tracks. Pity we didn’t stay together as the planned camp spot would have been good. As it was Janet picked a park. A nice spot by the estuary but very near houses and dog walkers. I put my tent up late. There were some midges in the evening but my chair and new tent did the job of keeping me cosy and comfy.
