After a couple of happy days with kai Blair and Rosie, Joe and I escaped to the hills. The plan to climb my last two wainwrights. We faffed about first thing. Didn’t rush and knew that we would be quite possibility finishing in the dark. Which we did! A fairly long but enjoy day for me. So now I am on round two! 🙂

this is a hill i first went up with Roger quite a few years ago. That time we had been staying in the caravan. I had had a wedding and caught a terrible cold. I felt really ill going up. This time i was healthy and it was a nice wee walk to start the year. 2nd hill of the year first was a bit warmer!!

the last walk of the weekend with the Ladies Anne Marie, Svetland and Barbara. I lovely frosty walk which we came back down just as it was getting dark. Herad torches used and songs sung to keep us going. The hare was waiting in the car but I think the tortoises had more fun

Not to self not all ladies know where they are going when they say they do, always check the book/map for yourself….it would have saved a lot of faffing. Eventually we found the beginning of the scramble which should have been easy! We lost so much time a few of us decided to go down from the lost valley. It was still a good day.

This is another catch up post! All i can remember was the begining was hard going up a steep slop that had been felled and we came back along the track in the dark I remember it being a good day, and from there we headed to the ladies meet at Blackrock
BTW I am now a fully fledged member yay!

After a night in the van parked up at the Birks of Aberfeldy car park with Dot and Anne we headed down to the start of the walk. It was a lot and i mean a lot mistier than we were expecting! Parking on the road was more difficult than we expected too. Once we found a spot we were accosted by a game keeper who didn’t want us to walk but couldn’t stop us. They were stalking the next day and he seemed to think we would scatter the deer into another county. He wanted us to just walk to the loch which we did but then we nipped up the hill. We did change our plans as we had planned a circuit. We didn’t see any deer and he didn’t even know which hill we were going up before he tried to stop us. Glad we went it cleared as we got higher up. A great day.
