This is another catch up post! All i can remember was the begining was hard going up a steep slop that had been felled and we came back along the track in the dark I remember it being a good day, and from there we headed to the ladies meet at Blackrock
BTW I am now a fully fledged member yay!

After a night in the van parked up at the Birks of Aberfeldy car park with Dot and Anne we headed down to the start of the walk. It was a lot and i mean a lot mistier than we were expecting! Parking on the road was more difficult than we expected too. Once we found a spot we were accosted by a game keeper who didn’t want us to walk but couldn’t stop us. They were stalking the next day and he seemed to think we would scatter the deer into another county. He wanted us to just walk to the loch which we did but then we nipped up the hill. We did change our plans as we had planned a circuit. We didn’t see any deer and he didn’t even know which hill we were going up before he tried to stop us. Glad we went it cleared as we got higher up. A great day.

After a peaceful night in the van a wonderful round. Back to the van and home. Actually I think I had another night on route home. So good to break the journey.

After a hectic but lively few days at Kai’s with Sue and Chris although sadly not Sam as he was still getting over Covid I decided that a bit of quiet Lynn and Mountain time would be just the job. I got of the road home at Moffat and stopped to wander up Croft Head a little Graham which made 56. I am still one behind Anne and my Corbetts are lagging behind at only 50!
After the walk I drove up to the car park at grey mares tail. A national trust car park so I was able to make use of my membership.

Note the return ride took longer down hill than the outward ride, I was nearly broken by a most horrendous head wind!!!
Very steep up hill then some lovely peathags and some steep traversing to a track – lovely…….
A nice evening in the van the night before with Anne and Ian

After an epic day yesterday to day was a gentler walk up a little hill before going home. My first visit to Ronnan with the Ladies. Very dramatic light on this one.

Sometimes I have a mountain day that takes me to a place that Roger and I talked about going too and An Tealloch is one of those hills. I was staying at Ronnan Cottage on a Ladies meet. All of the others were planning smaller walks but I fancied something a bit more challenging. Karen suggested An Tealloch and how could I refuse! we took two cars so we missed a bit of road walking – thank goodness. It was a brilliant day cloud swirling about to make it interesting but we still had the amazing views. We scrambles up a couple of the pinnacles but then took the path that contoured round I think I will have to go back and finish the whole scramble.

After calling at the discovery centre to do a stock check Janet and I headed off to climb Mona Gowen it was a bit of a dull day but nice to be out although the landscape did feel a bit devoid of wildlife. A nice cuppa and bit of tiffin in a café when we can back down

This was a exploration of another climbing crag, this one was a bit more promising than the one earlier in the week. Think it will be worth a return trip in warmer weather. We then went over two hills that I had been up before solo but not on the same day. It was a good day walking those legs.

A bike and hike to check out a hidden crag, some big-ish climbs, a mossy scramble to the trig point and a wizz back to the van
