A return to the Sgurr of Eigg. This time we could see the view from the top. We arrived by boat – the Lady of Avenel. The ships company took a walk up the hill. When we got back we had a couple of drinks in the community bar before heading back to the boat. A good day. Hill number 86

Flymur: Iceland’s highest Water fall

Our first day in Iceland and a lovely walk up to an incredible waterfall. A wide storey river crossing and a walk along a little plateau. Loving it well worth all the stress to get here.

This was one of the wettest days ever! and the walk back along the screes along the edge of waswater was really really hard work. We were shattered at the end. It would have been more fun on dry rock. We got back to a wet camp but luckily nothing was too wet. The next day we had the best breakfast ever. Only two more wainwrights to go. Tops for 2021 number 80 and 81

A lovely walk with Joe before we set up our camp near Cleator Moor. We decided to do some tent camping and test out the tent. The road between Keswick and Buttermere was madly busy…well it is August. A nice day.

We did pick the most wettest day to attempt this walk. It was very definitely unfinished business of Rogers after many practice walks and route planning we never actually walked the route. Part of my challenge for 2021 was also to walk a 30km walk in readiness for my attempt at more big days next year in Scotland. In view of the weather i think we did pretty good…..We were knackered at the end but very pleased with our selves. Joe and I were joined by Sam.

A good day out and a park up in the Corgraff Car Park which is a very quiet nice spot, the next day I went over to Braemar to get a jewellery order. Tops for 2021 number 74 and 75
