This was the First Recoup Walk as we called them. We reached a good view point and had a picnic in the van afterwards.
Trip to the west
First night away in the van since Glencoe. I had a wedding at Eilean Donan Castle so we booked in at Glen Shiel campsite for two nights. We went on a walk before the wedding for an hour with a bit of up hill. We went back via Plockton and Loch Carron which was nice but tired Roger out too much I think

It is strange as I get to updating this part of the blog as two days later Roger will be in hospital and life will be very different for quite a while. At the time we thought it would never be the same again but now it is the 3rd January 2015 and life is very similar to how it was before but different.
We went up past Loch an Eilein and over the Cairngorm bridge we then followed a track which I had often seen and wondered where it went. It came to a clearing with some lovely views of the Lairig Grhu and then a river! which needed fording! and then we were back on the logging way. which we followed up for coffee and cake at Glenmore.
