Lots of deep powdery snow! Very Cold. We had tried to get over Kirkstone pass to Patterdale but it was impassable due to snow and Ice.

I remember this day well, It was the day I finished off my heel tendon and it took a long time to get better. I always thought it was down by Laggan but when Joe and i went to walk up creag Liath last week I saw the route marked on the map and then looking at my munro book I had marked it as …sore heel!!! anyway I went back and found the photos so I have added them to this blog.
Snowy Day
This is another retrospective post, nearly 10 years after the event – where did the time go! This week November 2018 Joe and I went up Meall a’Bhuachaille, it was our biggest hill for a while and we both enjoyed it immensely. I had been neglecting this blog since we lost Roger but I have been good today and added all the walks and ride from Joe’s visit. Back to this day, it was not long after we got the caravan just after my 50th birthday, I remember a long walk back through the forest, a forest that I now know much better….

A Visit to Stirling: Day One

I was reminded of this weekend walking recently while arranging a day walking with Sam I had a feeling that we had walked these hills while visiting Kai in Stirling. Joe Roger and I stayed in the youth Hostel and met up with Kai and Blair in the evenings. I remember playing pool with them at the hostel and going bowling. We also had three fine hill days, two with Joe and one on our own. This was the day I lost my blackberry on the top of the hill and 6 weeks later it was found and posted back to me. It still worked and Joe used it for a few years. Just look at those curly long locks Joe
