Bothy Ride to Suie and back

June 27, 2019

Kenny had the plan to ride to Faindouran Bothy but as he didn’t finish work until gone 8 it wasn’t going to happen. We decided to go to Suie instead. Kenny was totally stressed about his work which didn’t make for a good start and then in the morning he was equally stressed to get back for 9 am. I hung back and had a nice peaceful cup of coffee at the picnic bench before heading home via the hostel

Nice Bothy and a lovely evening.

Bike Packing Day Two

It looked like rain the next morning so we very sensibly packed everything up before we went for a little walk along the coast. It did get very wet. We had a wet ride out but as the distillery cafe was open we had a feast for tea. We then returned to the vans for a wonderful sunset. What a day

Wee bike packing adventure

May 1, 2019

https://www.strava.com/activities/2334363456

Still on Arran but the weather was more kind today, Vicky had gone home and that just left me Claudia and Dot. We decided the time was right for a bike packing trip. It took about 3 or more hours of faffing to get all our stuff loaded up on our bikes and on the road. But it was so worth it. We set off from the Van and followed the coast round to a fantastic camp site. Tea cooked by the campfire. Life doesn’t get much better
